This is a video demonstrating a Visual Novel by Dai-Sukima Dan called Touhou Mecha. Touhou Mecha is a fangame created by Dai-Sukima Dan [http://dsd.faceroll.net/], and a derivative work of the Touhou Project series made by ZUN and Team Shanghai Alice.

It was originally made in the English language, and it's basically closer to an animated feature than a game. The story and art were done by me, and I got some help for the GUI programming and music.

This video shows the intro narration of the story. While this game is visually decadent for what's practically a 4-man production squad, it actually does come with a story! Touhou Mecha: Hell's Rising has a plot *very* loosely based on the Subterranean Animism, the 11th game in the Touhou Project shooting game series by ZUN. There's a lot of surprises even if you're familiar with that one.

You might notice that this video is of version 1.1, whereas the video from a few days ago was of version 1.0. That's because we made a quick update to the game. We tried out an image compression technique that cuts the game's filesize in half! From 83 MB to 43 MB. The story remains the same as in 1.0, and the difference in image quality is pretty minor-- you certainly won't notice through a Youtube video.
