Super Ranger & Bega's Battle: Double Feature - MCIHAD
Today we pair footage of a Sisyphean action game from Korea with an ambitious but mendacious Japanese laserdisc game from the early 80’s. Super Ranger comes from the same febrile minds that brought us Spark Man and the Hard Head games. It, like Hard Head, sends us running in short order, and it is into the propitious bounty of Bega’s Battle we flee. An ambitious anime intro sequence suckered countless patrons into playing a humdrum shooter where you dodge butter and catch naked coal-walkers. I’m not having a stroke, this stuff really happens! Watch it and see for yourself! Actually, never mind, go home! YOU NEVER SAW ANYTHING HERE.
