I am playing Classic Mode with King K. Rool in this video, so I am using one of the characters that was added in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate base game. What I do is I randomize a list to decide who is my next character for Classic Mode, and my playlist will display the fighters in order of how they are displayed on the roster. King K. Rool's Classic Mode route is called Super Heavyweight Class, and his opponents on that route are the heaviest characters in the game, and he is considered to be the super heavyweight character, and King K. Rool is the second heaviest character in the game, the first being Bowser.
To unlock King K. Rool, there are many different ways, one of them is Vs. Matches, where King K. Rool is the 16th character to be unlocked, and he is the 1st character you unlock when you complete Classic Mode with Link.
In Round 1, his first opponent is Charizard, and you fight it on Unova Pokémon League. In Round 2, you fight Bowser on StreetPass Quest, or Find Mii outside of Europe, in Round 3, you fight King Dedede on Boxing Ring, then in Round 4, your opponent is Ridley, he is fought on Brinstar Depths in Battlefield Form, in Round 5, you fight Ganondorf on Bridge of Eldin, and in Route 6, you fight Donkey Kong on Kongo Jungle.
Next is the Bonus Stage, and after is the boss fight against Galleom, the reason why Galleom was picked to be the final opponent of King K. Rool's Classic Mode route could be due to his large appearance, and he does fit in well in a route where all of King K. Rool's opponents are heavyweight characters, and his name could be a reference to Gang-Plank Galleon, where the boss's name has an "m" instead of an "n", and that song is King K. Rool's theme song, but it doesn't fight when you fight Galleom, instead you get the Boss Battle theme from Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
After completing Classic Mode, we get the credits, and Gang-Plank Galleon, as expected, is the song that plays for King K. Rool's credits theme, and if you completed Classic Mode with King K. Rool for the first time, you unlock his Fighter Spirit, and even though King K. Rool's Classic Mode is where he fights heavyweight characters, he does not fight Incineroar, who has the same weight as Charizard, and for some reason Ridley is fought on this route, despite Ridley not being in the top 5 heaviest characters, and if you are going by base roster, Ridley is tied with Wario, Ike, Simon, and Richter for being the 14th to 18th heaviest character, and between Charizard and Ridley, the following characters from heaviest to lightest are Samus, Dark Samus, and Bowser Jr., and if you count DLC characters, Kazuya, Piranha Plant, and Terry are included as well.
