Sword of Sodan is an old retro hack and slash platform game, developed and published for the Amiga game system by Discovery Software, and released in 1988.

Plot
Set in a fictional medieval time, Lordan the ruler of the northern kingdom is under threat by Zoras, an evil necromancer, long banished from the realms of man, hides in his tower made of human bones. He is planning a second attempt to overthrow Lordan. after his first attempt was defeated by Sodan, the hero.
During the time after his defeat, Zoras studied ancient parchments of his ancestors, where he learned to experiment with long forgotten spells and uncovered hidden secrets of centuries ago. His new knowledge enables him to conjure all kinds of nightmarish creatures which he sends marching towards Lordan's castle, leaving a path of death and destruction.
To protect his twin children, son Brodan and daughter Shardan, Lordan arranged for them to be taken away from the castle across the Chthol mountains to the fathest corner of the land. After Lordan's defeat and death at Zoras' hands, his children were raised by an old, bitter man, who also trained them in the art of sword combat.
Before the twins start their journey to defeat Zoras, the old man hands over to them the sword of Sodan. Armed with the sword, they fight their way to castle Craggamoor and face the tyrannical Zoras.

It is an ok game, not excellent, can be very tricky. The game does have great graphics for the time.
