Melancholic Decay has an incredibly high amount of HP since its main gimmick is to sacrifice a percentage of its HP to create several clones of itself. I'm not letting that happen though, Melancholic Decay is going down before it can split.
Decay has to do a couple actions before using Freedom Gaze to clone itself, so it will approach and attack. It's deceptively fast but by starting on the far left side of the battlefield, I can use Blade of Heaven right as the battle begins to get rid of all its Iron Stance and start a weakness combo before being hit.

The first half of the combo pushes Melancholic Decay directly to the corner and this position allows for a weakness reset and follow-up that wouldn't work otherwise. Due to the launch hit from Obliteration Cross and the angle I've pushed Decay into the corner, Gaius stands directly below the boss, and since it's such a big target, Celestial Rupture will hit and OTG while barely pushing Decay away! Hydra is then used for its autocorrect and with that stun I can renew the P Atk buff timer with Savage Beckoning to maximize my damage.
