Temperature Check: Concerns Over Switch 2 Pre-Order Cancellations??
32OK, it's time to check and see how the folks out there are doing. Did you happen to pre-order a Nintendo Switch 2? If so, how do you feel about whether you'll actually get that pre-order fulfilled? I know that Walmart has a history of dropping the ball regarding pre-order cancellations, which is why I thought this temperature check was appropriate.
On the night pre-orders opened up, I didn't expect to use Walmart going into it. Target was my first choice, then Best Buy, with Walmart being my 3rd option. But then it happened; on the Walmart site, I was able to select the combo with Super Mario Kart World, hit add to cart or pre-order (I don't recall which it said to be honest), and proceeded to place my order. I went forward and checked out, hit the final button, and boom, it went through! I didn't bother with accessories at the time, as the main thing I wanted was just the system and Mario Kart World. I knew I'd get a Pro Controller 2 at some point, but I just wanted the system.
Best Buy and Target failed completely, but at least at this point, my Walmart Preorder is still valid.did also go to my local Gamestop the next day to put a reserve in on a system, just to hedge by bets. But to my shock and positive surprise, my Walmart order is still looking good and still looking like it'll be available in just over 2 weeks!
