The Biggest Quest Update in a While is Finally Here!
2,775We’ve got a packed VR news roundup today, headlined by the official arrival of the brand-new Navigator UI on Quest devices! This major overhaul is part of the Horizon OS v77 update, and it’s already rolling out with a sleek new look and some powerful quality-of-life additions. From the new quick settings menu to experimental 3D photo previews from Instagram, Meta is clearly aiming to modernize the Quest’s interface — though it’s not without a few bugs. Some users are noticing folder glitches, multiple Navigator variants in testing, and even deeper internal features like Android XR QS support under the hood.
That’s not all — Meta’s also quietly added a new “Camera” button to Horizon OS, and there are early signs of extended customizability coming to the system UI. While we wait to see which features make it to the final build, the current rollout already gives a much-needed refresh to Quest’s navigation experience.
Outside of Meta, Apple’s long-rumored smart glasses are now reportedly targeting a release window in late 2026, and could bring new competition to the AR space. And over in console VR, PlayStation VR2 is getting a $100 discount as part of Sony’s Days of Play 2025 sale — bringing the price down to $350 for a limited time.
