A Big Minecraft VR For Quest Standalone Update is Coming!
1,124A massive new update is rolling out for QuestCraft, bringing the popular standalone Minecraft Java launcher from version 5.0 to 6.0, and it’s packed with improvements. Now supporting up to Minecraft 1.21.4, the update shrinks the file size nearly in half, adds multi-account support, and includes a ton of quality-of-life changes like a log viewer, asset checker, progress bar on downloads, and even a demo mode for users without Java Edition.
There’s also expanded headset support — Pico Neo 3, 4, and 4U users are now officially supported — and new features like RAM-based memory settings, JDK auto-updating, legal info, auto-repair for Vivecraft in seated mode, and a completely reworked mod auto-installer. With improved performance, better preinstalled configs, Unity 2022, and bug fixes across the board (including for v71+), this might be the best QuestCraft has ever been.
Meanwhile, outside of Minecraft, Meta reportedly plans more physical retail stores. On the game side, Phasmophobia’s big Chronicle update finally has a release date — and unfortunately, Insomniac says it currently has no plans for PSVR2 titles.
