Quest Apps Get Big Upgrades! AI VR World Generation, Face Recognition & More!

On the hardware and AI front, Meta just unveiled AssetGen 2.0 — an upgraded version of their 3D AI asset generation tool — and revealed more plans for their next-gen Ray-Ban smart glasses, coming in 2026 with facial recognition, spatial sensing, and live AI capabilities. Apple isn’t staying quiet either, reportedly working on a custom chip specifically for their own smart glasses.
Hello Dot has officially left early access and is now fully released for Quest 3. Into the Radius 2 is also on the way, with an early access release confirmed for Quest 3 this year. Meanwhile, Hauntify for Quest 3 is aiming to push boundaries with continuous scene meshing and real-world laser tag mechanics.
