How Grimlock Almost Killed Megatron in Transformers 5. During the events of The Last Knight, we saw Megatron return. He was more imposing than he had ever been, and he was extremely powerful. Which was thanks largely in part to the Great Deceiver, Quintessa. Who granted him a new knightly body that came equipped with a fusion cannon. The guy seemed like an unstoppable force. Making quick work of characters such as Hound who he dispatched with his fusion cannon. He even takes on multiple Autobots at once, which included Optimus. But apparently, he almost died before that big climactic battle. After following the Autobots to a deserted town, Megatron and his Decepticons would engage them in a shootout. As battle with the Autobots raged, Grimlock arrived to join the fight and would begin his assault by swatting Barricade. He would proceed to bite on Megatron’s leg and slam him to the ground. Had Grimlock continued his relentless assault on the Decepticon leader he’d be dead. Thankfully Dreadbot jumped in to lose his life instead.
