What Megatronus' Cog Color Really Means in TF One. Transformers One Megatronus Prime is 1 of the most complex and enigmatic versions of the character we’ve seen. Because he was a good guy who died fighting alongside his Prime brothers. Which is the total opposite of what we’re usually accustomed to. But the color of his cog made some wonder if he was going to kill his siblings if he hadn’t met his demise at the hands of Sentinel. Because it was purplish red as opposed to blue like the others. And I strongly believe it has something to do with Primus himself. During his constant battles with Unicron, Primus core was poisoned with Dark Energon. Which is important to keep in mind because the cogs come from the core of Cybertron. And Primus would insert the untainted portion of his core into the Matrix. Which had the power to make energon flow once again from the planet's core to the surface to produce new cogs. But there’s a strong possibility that Unicron’s dark energon remained at the core and would ultimately create the cog of Megatronus Prime.
