Why Trypticon’s Robot Mode Was Cut in Transformers Prime. Although the Cybertron games kicked off the aligned continuity. A lot of things they established went by unacknowledged in other media such as the shows. And the characters who played a major role were left out. Such as Trypticon, a once powerful Titan who was unwilling turned into the Decepticon’s ship, the Nemesis. But despite all this the character wouldn’t receive as much as a namedrop in Transformers Prime. During an episode titled Flying Minds we would see the Nemesis ship undergo repairs. To avoid a long and painstaking process infused the core with Dark Enegon. Which proved to be successful but would cause the battleship to develop a will of its own. A wire-frame of his robot mode can even be seen briefly during the episode, but no attention is called to it. The reason being that the showrunners didn’t want to be bogged down by pre-established story elements that would conflict with the story they wanted to tell.
