The Chronicles of Riddick: AoDA - incidental glitches pt. 1
I've played some The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena lately, and I must say, it's a pretty good game. But it's not without its flaws: the pacing / difficulty is pretty weird for instance. I also got a decent amount of glitches while trying to finish it....
Here on this first video are the glitches I got while playing the Escape from Butcher Bay remastered campaign. I still haven't finished the main campaign, so its incidental glitches video shall wait until later.
0:00 - an enemy was stuck running near this corner for a while.
0:17 - a glitched neck snap animation. Or maybe this is Riddick's version of force choke.
0:34 - Riddick puts this unsuspecting guard in a box. Literally. I try to give the guy a slightly more dignified death by dragging him out of there, but it's no use.
1:17 - the ragdoll physics can be a bit restless in this game. It's not unusual to hear a chorus of thuds and see limbs shaking all over after downing an enemy.
1:27 - another example.
1:42 - a briefly levitating gun. Yeah, I know, this one was pretty lame.
1:51 - Riddick dies in a glitchy way. It looks like his death animation interrupts in the middle and then starts over again after a brief delay.
2:04 - a weird teleportation glitch while trying to climb this ladder. Riddick gets stuck close to the top, then suddenly appears at the bottom again, before then appearing at the top again.
2:29 - more ragdoll shenanigans. Riddick's dramatic silhouette in the picture completes the scene.
2:43 - got this hardcore lag after retrying from a checkpoint near the end of the game.
