This video takes a closer look at the basic ideas of Combined Tactics Jump, which is in my opinion THE hardest jump tactic in the entire God of War-series.

0:00 - how to do Broken Destiny jump, which is the core of Combined Tactics Jump. Basically, chain together Broken Destiny (air) and Falling Helios. Once you have the Amulet, you are able to use L2 to interrupt Falling Helios early to save air momentum and get much higher.

0:47 - how to do LAM (Lenient Air Momentum) in Ascension. Basically, do Poseidon's Tremble (air) while running and jump as soon as possible. Kratos' next jump will be more floaty than usual due to some surplus air momentum that is left over from Poseidon's Tremble landing animation. This is the key to maximizing the height you can get from the first jump in this whole lengthy high jump sequence.

1:19 - how to do Olympus Strike glitch. This glitch allows you to use your double jump in the middle of an air combo, giving you lots of new options. Basically, do Olympus Strike (air). Let go of triangle, then start holding it down again, as if you were trying to do the charged version of the attack. This makes the attack fizzle out and cancel by itself, returning Kratos to a neutral state in air. For best results, you must now quickly switch back to Ice element to continue doing Broken Destiny jump. Alternatively, you can do a single Shield Jump to finish off your jump.

1:52 - a full Combined Tactics Jump example that is finished with Shield Jump. In other words: LAM to Broken Destiny Jump to Olympus Strike glitch to Shield Jump.

2:05 - a full Combined Tactics Jump example that is finished with a second Broken Destiny Jump. In other words: LAM to Broken Destiny Jump to Olympus Strike glitch to Broken Destiny Jump.

---

Note 1: any bad timing during the jump either makes you lose a lot of air momentum or ends the jump completely. Yep, it's a pain in the ass to perform.

Note 2: Broken Destiny Jump as shown here is not possible to do in early game since Kratos doesn't have the Amulet.

Note 3: doing this jump at The Furnace like I do here is actually a sequence break that would save time in a speedrun. But so far it isn't used, because it's so unreliable to do.

Note 4: this video used to have annotations, but they're gone now... sorry about that.

Credits go to: Findlestick was the original discoverer of Broken Destiny jump. I found the rest of the tactics.
