Max Payne 3 - Continue glitch in Chapter 11
8Some more results of this highly fascinating glitch!
0:00 - Chapter 11-3. (Upon first loading the game, you get the minor effect of Max not having a gun.) If you retry, you get a very different result. Now lighting is back to normal, but the innards of the ship are not rendered at all. So you have to fight against invisible enemies around some invisible walls for a moment. Things return to normal after having killed all enemies and after the cutscene of things exploding has happened.
1:14 - Chapter 11-4. Upon loading the game, Max falls through the unloaded ship right to the bottom of the Panama canal. The canal is actually a mostly solid box where you can run in, and it looks pretty hilarious to see the level from under the water surface. Retry causes the same thing to happen, although sometimes Max doesn't survive the fall to the bottom. There isn't anywhere to really go from the bottom of the canal, though.
3:46 - Chapter 11-5. After the intro, the fight begins in a very unfurnished looking version of the ship's cabin. The furniture is not visible and all textures are plain and lo-fi, and you have to fight invisible enemies while at it. Moving from room to another repeatedly may fix things, but if you're careful you can take the lo-res effect all the way up to next Checkpoint.
6:41 - Chapter 11-7. This is a similar result to Chapter 11-4 as well, but you can see characters in t-pose above, as well as helicopters.
8:05 - Chapter 11-9. The Checkpoint begins mostly normal, although the scenery and Max's cover loads in really slow. Max also lacks a gun. Can play onward in the level. Nothing more to it?
8:24 - Chapter 11-10. Upon first loading the game, Max appears at his cover without a gun, but is stuck permanently. Can't do anything at the moment.
After retrying, you can finally move Max around. You can probably play onward in the level if you get a gun from an enemy, although I didn't try it.
8:56 - Chapter 11-11. Max starts the set piece without a gun and the scenery loads in really slowly. Other than that, things are relatively normal. Same thing happens after retry. Didn't try playing onward in the level.
