The Comet Mine is near the Pan American Mine. In fact, both mines and a few other smaller ones were all considered to be part of the Comet District. The Comet Mine features a 160-foot vertical shaft as well as older shafts onsite. Most of the site has been safety-proofed with bat gates, culverts, and backfilling but there is still a lot of above-ground relics to see. This video features all of that and more.
