Hey guys, Altered State here. Welcome back to another episode of The Evil Within 2. In this episode we head into the theater and start chapter 8. We hear Stefano's voice coming from above, and he is quite upset at us destroying his art. However, we don't care and are fueled by our desire to save Lily. We explore the vestibule before we head through the main doors on the second floor and come face to face with Stefano again. This time he unleashes his masterpiece, as we walk past dozens of people who are bound with bags on their heads. Stefano eludes to someone above him, who ordered him to take Lily, but does not elaborate. Stefano activates the audience members and little collars around their necks cause all their heads to explode like the ending of the movie Kingsman. Stefano transports us to a new hallway, and we begin to follow him. We don't make it very far, before the world around us begins to crack and crumble and distort. What follows is a scene taken right out of Arkham Asylum when we have to avoid Scarecrow's gaze. Only this time the gaze we have to avoid is Stefano's giant camera eye. We are successful, and even find a key during this sequence. We escape and find ourselves back at the theater, where there is a conveniently placed mirror so we can prepare for something big. That something is something we expected much later in the game: A final battle with Stefano. The battlefield sees us in a similar area as the sequence where we were avoiding his eye. This time though the eye is actively trying to smash us with tendrils, while Stefano tries to stab us with knives and use picture bombs. He seemingly materializes wherever he wants, and we have to wait for an opening to blast him. Namely, dodge his attacks, then attack while he's occupied. It takes several attempts before we realize the proper strategy to take him down. After much struggle, several deaths, lots of ammo, and most of our medical supplies used, we finally take down Stefano with one final head shot. His big scary eye in the sky closes, and we listen to Stefano's final words. He tries to take our picture as we walk away, but like a boss we turn around and shoot him in the head. Now, we are transported back into the theater room, and finally come face to face with Lily. She is terrified of us, as she has come to believe we are dead. We try to comfort her but are interrupted by a strange white figure barging in and melting the wall. She also summons the strange goop monster we have met before. We quickly learn this new identity to be that of our deceased wife. So much just happened, and yet we will have to wait until the next episode to investigate further.
