Hey guys, Altered State here. Welcome back to another episode of The Evil Within 2. In this episode we take out another Guardian. This will be our third one, and the second we actually took down while recording. We stall on our way into battle, but find a key in the process on the Juke's Diner sign. We equip our explosive bolts, and creep in closer so we can attempt to take her down. Our first attempt does not go so well, and we lose our head. We tried to utilize the barrel nearby, but it proves to be our downfall. We come in again, and this time stick to using explosive bolts and running away. Four bolts, and two shotgun blasts takes this guardian down. We collect her precious green goo and move on, celebrating our victory before triggering the next event. We collect another statue, then head towards another group of enemies. We take out two rather quickly, as they are both facing away from us, then enter a parking lot and find a Mobius agent running away from a horde of enemies. We utilize tools near us, including pools of oil, dropped axes, and ammo scattered nearby to take out the enemies. We end up sparing our resources remarkably well, as we take out three zombies with one shot to the oil, and another three with one swipe of the axe. We are surprised at this, as we have been used to only taking out one at a time with the axe. We manage to take out the remaining two with our shotgun, then go after one that is stuck on the other side of the gate, and take him out with a stealth approach. However the stealth fails at the last second and we take him down using old fashioned methods. Killing this last guy triggers a cut scene as we formally meet the Mobius Operative who leads us to his safehouse nearby. He introduces himself as Sykes, and informs us of a computer terminal in the Marrow we need to activate. He agrees to open the various locked chests we have been finding if we succeed. We agree to do so, but first hear the clicks of a clicker nearby, and decide to take her out before making our way back to the other safehouse where the computer terminal is to enter the Marrow. Also on our way back we find another statue, which is a welcome sight. In the Marrow, we head through the areas that were previously covered in white stuff, only now it's clear and we make it to the server room unhindered. However turning on the terminal spawns some new enemies, so the trek back out of the Marrow is not as simple. We again, are stealthy and systematic, at least after the first encounter where a couple zombies rush us in the server room with nowhere to hide. We take out the wandering zombies, then have to sneak attack a clicker twice. We make it out, and end the episode inside our safe house. We will investigate those other crates next time.
