Hey guys, Altered State here. Welcome back to another episode of The Evil Within 2. In this episode we use the crank we found earlier, and open up a new path to explore. Our first order of business is to explore the side rooms before traveling down the hallway. We find a resonance point, and a couple other goodies to pick up. We hear the strange voice again and he tells us to go down. The ladder breaks as we descend, and we find ourselves in cell. We leave to a dark hallway lined with candles and see a strange silhouette at the end. Suddenly, we are launched backwards and into a room with writing materializing on the wall, and Lily's voice taunting us. The strange voice opens up a pathway, and we see a house in the distance. We make our way towards it, but stop part of the way there when we see Lily. Suddenly flames burst out of nowhere, and a burning figure grabs us. We find ourselves back in a solid room and now have to fight these burning figures. After we dispatch them, the strange voice alludes that he knew Stefano, and refers to him as a thorn in his side. We take a quick break and save our game back at our room, and do a bit of upgrading. We then enter a suspicious looking room that would be prime for a boss fight, but actually is just a big puzzle. We have to change the pattern on the floor, so that blood can flow toward the door and unlock it. It takes us a bit to realize how to do it, but becomes simple when we understand it. We head through the gate, and jump down into a desolate pit and finally meet the man behind the creepy voice. He calls himself Father Theodore. He comes off as threatening, but also as a guide. He offers to help us find Lily, but wants us to join his flock first. We refuse and he says ta-ta for now. We are washed away in a sea of blood and awaken in a cabin with a strange woman. Together we fight off hordes of zombies coming in through the windows, which reminds us of Call of Duty Zombies. We fight them all off and have a minute to absorb our new surroundings. We end here, and will explore further next time.
