The Godfather Walkthrough Part 8: Death To The Traitor
0Aldo returns to the Corleone compound and finds out that he has been promoted once more, now becoming an associate of the Corleone family and that Sonny, as the acting Don while Vito is still recovering from his injuries, has taken an aggressive path in pursuit of retaliation for an assassination on his father, demanding that Tattaglias hand over Sollozzo or face the war with Corleones, despite Tom Hagen trying to calm him down before he does anything rash. As he leaves, Aldo is sent to Clemenza's house in Brooklyn as he has discovered that Paulie Gatto, who had called in sick on the day of Vito's assassination, had likely betrayed Corleones, allowing the assassination to occur and thus, plans to kill him with Aldo's help. At Clemenza's house, Aldo, Clemenza himself and Paulie all head out to apparently scope out positions where Corleones can hole up should the war with Tattaglias begin and pick up cannoli for Clemenza's wife, also firebombing Tattaglias' business along the way. Eventually, the group pulls over on an isolated road somewhere in Brooklyn with Clemenza claiming that he has to urinate. With Paulie having drove thus far and Aldo sitting directly behind him, Clemenza subtly gives him a sign to kill Paulie by shooting him in the back of the head while the car is stopped. However, as Aldo cocks his handgun, Paulie hears it and bolts out into nearby shipping yard, although Aldo is able to quickly track him down and kill him. With Paulie dead, Clemenza and Aldo are joined by another Corleone member named Rocco Lampone who has brought a new car for them to leave the scene, although he has also picked up police tail, forcing Aldo to escape the police as three of them head back to Paulie's apartment which ends up given to Aldo as an new safehouse...
