The Grind - Sturgeon's Gameplay
The Grind - Sturgeon's Gameplay
The Grind is a free web "game" by Aftermath made for Yuri Game Jam. I'm not sure if Aftermath is a group of people, or just one person's internet handle, but I will assume that latter since The Grind doesn't seem like the kind of "game" that would require a team to create. In fact, it's not really a game at all because it doesn't have any gameplay. Maybe interactive fiction or visual novel are more accurate descriptors, but even the interactivity level is a little low, so maybe just fiction. Anyway, The Grind is a mature rated game/story about two women engaging in sexual intercourse told from a second person point of view. There are no images, but the textual descriptions are rather graphic, and apparently The Grind contains "realistic bloodshed", which I didn't get to in this video, so I don't know if it's meant to appeal to a niche of people with a very specific and prurient interest, but it didn't seem that way from the bit I played/read/mocked.

What is Sturgeon's Gameplay?
Sturgeon's Gameplay is a series where I go to a totally non-curated video game digital distribution platform, where anyone can upload their game with no barrier to entry, and play the newest game that has been released. Regardless of what it is. Regardless of who made it. Regardless of how bad it seems. Why do this? To evaluate Sturgeon's Law, which states that "90% of everything is crap" with respect to video games.
