The Hardcore Retro God (Review #61 - Thunder Force, Part B)
Considering it's been 2 weeks since the release of the previous half*, GUESS WHO'S FINALLY RETURNED WITH A VENGEANCE...
By now, this old saying should ring a bell or two: "Lightning never strikes twice in the same place". The long-awaited conclusion of my analysis on Technosoft's shmup franchise - HENCE MY 2ND STRIKE - features the next 2, as I'm joined by 2 special guests (namely, Matt M. Stone and Phil Healy - the latter, in his brief debut here...from "My Name is Jonah" / NORCAM's "Video of the Day" / "The Vampire", and is one of the organizers for one of my favorite time-honored local pastimes that puts even the SUPER BOWL to shame, I kid everyone NOT - Boston Open Screen):
- LIGHTENING FORCE, aka THUNDER FORCE 4 (Genesis, circa 1992)
- THUNDER FORCE 5 - Perfect System (PlayStation, circa 1997-98)
Please disregard what I mentioned earlier about my intent to fuse this and the previous half (http://youtu.be/-yMfKDQ3k5M) together.
Also, stay "tubed" for a reel of random games to be featured and reviewed later as the New Year is right around the corner.
