Some of my earlier stuff from when I first started out, inexperienced, blue-eyed, and no idea what the hell I was doing or what I wanted. Slowly I started to learn and to develop how I looked at games, game mechanics, styles, presentation, and so on. I still have a fair amount of files left from that period but most of them are at the moment locked away in a broken hard drive that I will have recovered (hopefully) most of my files from fairly soon. At that time I will also have to go over my lists and make sure that their dates are correct and verifiable by mtimes.

I've had a few innovative or kind of original ideas in my life and will certainly defend the creation dates of those projects until the day I die. I've also had plenty of foul and disgusting ideas, however, you always write down everything that you ever come up with! You shouldn't be afraid of what ideas or concepts you have, but of how you use them. You never know what might end up being useful when you go back to older ideas looking for inspiration or elements to borrow for a different concept.

There is quite a useful and valuable cross-over between game design and writing, something that I thankfully got to learn fairly early in my efforts.

I know where I have exclusive ownership and where I don't, that's not the problem, but should someone actually have stolen concepts from me (knowing that I do not own mechanics and system, nor do I want to) and used them for their own gain, that does not deprive me of when I came up with my designs and systems... and those are dates I will defend no matter what.
