In this video, I discuss the latest on Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Factions project which is apparently NOT Cancelled after all… A recent Tweet from The Last of Us Game Director Vinit Agarwal, who’s working on The Last of Us Factions Multiplayer project kind of confirms this. Although Naughty Dog themselves have yet to reconfirm and announce anything substantial for The Last of Us Factions and any related titles, it is quite reassuring to hear from Vinit Agarwal, which gives reassurances to myself and fans across the globe who have been speculating on the status of The Last of Us Factions. Just a few months back, an article from a games journalist site suggested that The Last of Us Factions was in trouble and that a cancellation was inevitable (or at least it seemed so.) Information got out that Bungie developers had visited Naughty Dog’s studio to check out their TLOU Factions project and offered insight into The Last of Us Factions Multiplayer title. It was heavily implied that The Last of Us Factions would require major overhaul and of course many in The Last of Us Factions community, but also the PlayStation community, theorized that TLOU Factions would be cancelled. After making his Tweet, it appeared that Vinit Agarwal assured fans quietly that Naughty Dog was still at the forefront of developing The Last of Us Factions or TLOU Factions Multiplayer project, but avoided getting into detail surrounding content for The Last of Us Factions.
The good news is that it seems as though The Last of Us Factions is NOT Cancelled after all and that Naughty Dog is crafting a TLOU Factions experience unlike anyone has seen before. This sense of excitement and optimism has me eager to finally explore the detailed world that Naughty Dog is building for The Last of Us Factions. What remains unclear is when the team at Naughty Dog will finally unveil their TLOU Factions project and put to rest all the speculation surrounding the game being cancelled, since The Last of Us Factions is NOT Cancelled after all. I remain both excited but equally skeptical until Naughty Dog finally announces The Last of Us Factions and releases concrete information surrounding the title.
