*Warning! - Heavy spoilers ahead! You have been warned.*

The Last Promise was created by Blazer and is a hack for Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword. This hack is a full length adventure filled with danger, some new items & classes as well as music, and a very well balanced difficulty curve.

You can head to the following site to keep up with the latest news regarding the hack and download the latest version of it:

ROM should be easy enough to find on your own.

Time to begin this tricky chapter, but first, Kelik gets Ragnell...oh wait, no he doesn't. He gets an almost equally powerful sword called Arectaris. It has 30 uses, 1-2 range, lots of Mt, and boosts str & skl by 3 while speed gets boosted by 10. Even though it's heavy as hell, the massive speed boost means Kelik still gets an overall +4 boost to his speed. He should have little need for any other weapons unless a Hammerne user is not in his vicinity.

The idea for this map is to split into two groups, each group taking one half of the map. Make sure Kelik or Anakin is in the group going east to intercept those units talked about in the reading.

Some of the more dangerous units are the siege tome users. One treasure room has an Eclipse using Druid while each half of the map has a closed off room with a Bishop and a Sage, the latter having Thunderbolt.

The real danger is Galagar to be honest. After a couple turns, he says something, then at the end of that player phase, will warp onto a pillar on the east side and end his turn. Luckily he doesn't move from there on the following enemy phase. He will on the next one though...and boy can he hurt people. Tons of speed, very high magic power. Make sure to have a good magic tank on each half of the map to keep Galagar busy. Once he's made a move, he will then warp to the same area, but on the west side. You can use this to predict where he's going to show up.

There's a way to stop this whole gimmick though. Just get someone outside the room and end the turn. Alternatively, you could park someone in one of the central treasure rooms so a Valkyrie attacks them. That works too. Doing either method causes Galagar to warp back to the throne room, summon a bunch of reinforcements, and park his rear on the throne to wait for your team's arrival. No more teleporting hijinks when this happens!

Now, the reason you need Kelik or Anakin going east to meet up with those two individuals...They pop up next to a pair of enemies. The General, Frederick, can handle them fine, but it's his daughter Rachel, a Sniper, that is going to get wrecked. When you get either up there, talk to Frederick first, then have him talk to Rachel. Two new units, just like that!

Frederick...if Gary was more geared towards high offensive stats, Frederick is more defense based. Capped defense, high resistance & hp. His growths are pretty amusing. He will ALWAYS get +1 str, +1 skl, +1 spd, +2 luk, and +1 res per level, no questions asked.

Rachel...sadly, her problem is not her bases or growths as both are good, but the fact she's coming at the tail end of the game and gets no real time to grind. What she does have though is the S rank bow, Phosphora. Has 20 Mt, very light (7 Wt), and boosts speed by 5 points. This could make a very nice bow for Storm or even Zach to use on dangerous targets.

As for treasure chests...the one Alice picks up on the west side going towards the northwest corner has an Energy Ring. Emma then starts raiding the central treasure rooms, grabbing a Wind Sword & Meteor tome. The latter is a Nature/Anima siege tome with 7 uses and quite nice accuracy. Save this for emergencies only.

Next, Storm backtracks through the eastern half of the map to pick up two treasure chests. Northeast one has a Drizzle, east central one has Boots.

Last before this video closes out, Emma loots a Craze staff. Has 3 uses, inflicts berserk on an enemy target. Range is determined by the user's magic and the chance of success is determined by the enemy's resistance stat.

Finally, that secret shop. It's at the start in the grassy area. Just go all the way east to a wall, then all the way south you can go. This secret shop has Barrier staves available, but more importantly, a ton of different stat boosters. Angelic Robes cost 7500 gold while the rest cost 8000 gold each. No, there are no Boots available for purchase because believe me, I would buy enough of them to cap out Rex's move if I could, heh.

More next time!
