Dark Destiny is a King's Field fangame by DMPDesign made in the Sword of Moonlight editor. The game follows the story of Dias Bagil, the man who would go on to become KF1US's Necron, as he seeks to unlock the darkness hidden deep inside him.

Moving on east in the direction of the Central Village with lots of potential detours to take in the process!

When you get to a four way intersection, there's nothing much of note to the north or south besides a guard (north) and a spare Jail Key (south).

Heading east of that intersection leads to a big room with...you guessed it, guards! The catch though is that these particular ones hit much harder than the ones in Rolf's base. With the armor I have now, one hit can take off roughly a quarter of my max hp. Make damn sure you don't get a guard coming up behind you while you're focusing on another one.

While in this first big room, if you look to your south, you'll see a small barrel high above you. Find the nearby stairs to take you up to it so you can claim a Crystal Flask by examining it.

Next, check out the northwest part of this room for a door leading to a couple guards and three other doors. One guard drops a Crystal which you'll want to save. As for what's behind those doors...southeast one has a chest with a Short Sword, northeast one leads to the Big Mine, and the northwest one is sealed by wooden planks which you can hack off with sword slashing and some good ol' fire magic. I took one look what was inside that door, saw a dark Skeleton, and said "nope!" and turned right around.

Back in that big room with the Crystal Flask, continue east past the door. Follow the path until a fork going north or south. South leads towards Central Village which is where I want to go right now. Keep heading south until you see a house, then go east and follow the path to a man standing guard at a gate. With that Pass that one knight gave you, you'll be granted access to the Central Village.

I end up spending the rest of the video just chatting it up with the local folk. There's two merchants of note here. The first is Celffy Foss. He has some interesting items for sale, notably the Elven Short Sword (Not as powerful as the Commander's Blade, but lighter) and Seath's Leg Guards. The Elven Short Sword you could probably afford by selling some of your outdated equipment, but the shiny boots are likely out of your price range right now.

Celffy also mentions a power at the center of the island that grants daylight, but is held by some kind of demon mage.

That second merchant is a cloaked man standing outside. He has some interesting items too, namely the Gold Key, Truth Glass, and Star Key. The first two items are far too expensive to purchase right now, but that Star Key can be picked up if you sell a Crystal Flask to him as he buys those for 2000 gold each. Don't worry because he adds the sold flask to his inventory, allowing you to buy it back later on when you have the funds. I want that because I can slot it into a pedestal, then use my Star Gate to return to that pedestal whenever I want. Good for moments where that will be required.

From the conversations you can have with him, he mentions a concentrated form of magic he can sense, as if the island's essence was pulsing from somewhere nearby.

Oh yeah, he also hands over a free Crystal Flask.

Next, the Miner's Guild located next to Celffy's house. You'll be able to take jobs here for a nice sum of gold. Checking the board reveals one job available from Jose who's special lure was taken by some half man, half fish creature while he was fishing along the southeastern cliffs. This place is located beyond the Fairy Village near Central Village, but we will need to speak with the fairy queen to get there. Good to know for later.

Talking to the folk in here reveals someone having a bad run in with a monster and seeing some kind of crystal he couldn't take out and expeditions getting owned and finding an ancient shrine. Lots of stuff to find for ourselves then. Perhaps the Big Mine and that other path I passed up are what's being mentioned here? Who knows!

Next, a blacksmith. If you examine the two items that are laying alongside him, you can buy them. They are an Amulet of Mist & Promeus Helm. The former we'll find for free later on while the latter is much too expensive.

The blacksmith can apparently use special ores to temper certain magical weapons and asks you to bring any you may find on your quest.

Finally, the shack to the west of the Miner's Guild has a save point.

One last thing to get, then I can start really exploring the West Coast.
