Dark Destiny is a King's Field fangame by DMPDesign made in the Sword of Moonlight editor. The game follows the story of Dias Bagil, the man who would go on to become KF1US's Necron, as he seeks to unlock the darkness hidden deep inside him.

Time to start playing this game. As a small note, since I can't change the controls of this game and I play keyboard only, expect some odd movements here and there. My keyboard isn't cool enough to have multiple buttons pressed at once.

Anyways, gameplay is pretty much your standard King's Field fare. Hp, mp, and power (light red bar alongside your hp total) & magic (light blue bar alongside your mp total, but no magic yet so it won't be filling up) in the upper left corner with a compass in the upper right corner.

Anyways, start out by exploring the house next to you. Inside is a close relative of Dias's, Nola. She remarks that this quest is a bad idea (Well...bad in her eyes, awesome as hell in Dias's eyes), but regardless, tells him to visit Fai before going off to do evil things.

You'll also want to claim the dagger, Bane, on a table. Also grab the Studded Leather Boots next to a bed. Equip both right away.

Outside of the home, there's a blue fountain to the east that fully heals you in hp...and mp! Continuing north and west to a tree nestled in a corner will reward you with an Earth Herb if you search around it.

Now head south along the only path going deeper into the area. When you see a path branching off to the east, take it, then go northeast at the fork to find Fai. He says more or less the same thing Nola did about this whole quest, then hands over an Island Map. It's kinda useless aside from one thing...there's some kind of power on the West Coast.

Head back west and start going south again. Ignore the next path going east, but take the second east path that is right before reaching some man near a door. This leads into a cave with Green Slimes and Skeletons. Ignore everything and go for the Crystal Flask sitting...in a pool of poison water! Ain't that just sweet?

Poison is like what it is in the KF games...slowly drains about 15 or so hp.

Also in this cave is a deceased person near a well. You can claim a Studded Leather Vest off him, then run out of this cave and talk to that man nearby if you want. Too bad of his guard position preventing him from taking Dias in, heh.

Anyways, press on through the door into the barracks, the next area. Ignore everything while going west whenever you can. Doing so will lead you to a deceased person, but more importantly, a path going west down some steps. There's an enemy here you'll have to either kill or hit with Bane so you can get past without taking damage. Do what you want, then head into the West Coast, the area where you started in KF1US.

Keep going west until you see a barrel. Grab the Earth Herb next to it, then the Iron Mask in the barrel. Equip the helm, then head outside and take the bridge across the water. Watch out for the jellyfish. Get too close and they can zap you with a chance of inflicting slow (also known as say bye bye to moving at a good clip!). This is why I need that armor. With the pieces I've collected thus far, I can take one hit without problem, even factoring in that poison damage I took.

Across that bridge is a lighthouse you can climb. Doing so leads to the first Fire Crystal, granting Dias the Fireball spell. For 3 mp, this shoots...well, a fireball! While that's nice, Dias only has 10 mp to start with and it grows rather slowly early on. Use magic only when you feel it's required.

Return to the barracks now and feel free to nuke the plant enemy you run into as you come back into them. One shot drops it. Head north, then east all the way until you run into a wall, then turn south. You'll see a door sealed off by some ice. With fire magic, you can approach and instantly melt it. Proceed inside to a...gold fountain? Already? Must be a miracle!

Also, that voice. It says it can grant Dias the power to overthrow the king and hands him Necron's Blade. It also mentions three crystals of light spread across Melanat and wants Dias to bring them back here to unlock the power of the moonlight chamber.

With that...Dias's new weapon is like the Excellector from KF2US. It will grow in power as you gain experience. Does not need to be equipped for that to happen which is good because it's much heavier than Bane for barely an improvement in damage.

Heading back to the start (And killing some Green Slimes who can poison in the process). Will be cleaning up the best I can there next time.
