About this video: With Minecraft 1.20, Mojang added in the brand new cherry blossom biome, and along with pink flowers, they also added in the cherry tree. This tree brings a brand new cherry log block to Minecraft meaning we have a brand new Minecraft wood type.
Why is this such a big deal? Well, with a new wood like cherry wood, you can take and break it down into cherry wood planks. With these, you can craft trapdoors, buttons, doors, slabs, stairs, and anything else you can use other wooden planks for.
Cherry trees also brought in a cherry leaves which have a beautiful pink color and will really make gardens pop in Minecraft.
Every part of the cherry tree in Minecraft incorporates pink, a color that Minecraft hasn’t had many options for outside of pink wool. This is going to unlock so much potential for builders. I cannot wait to see what they do with it!
