The Retired Lego Disney Castle Build & Review!! (Is This Sketchy eBay Open Box Set Even Complete!?)
In todays video, we build and review the Lego Disney Parks Disney Castle set #71040 from 2016, with 4,080 pieces. Unlike traditional videos this one does not feature a box. It is a new set, but the box it arrived in was the consistency of a paper sack. So I put the build bags in a sealed plastic bin and discarded the box. But if there was an unboxing segment to this video we will find several bags making 14 actual building steps. The set has a thick instruction manual and a very mild sticker sheet. In the review we find that this set is in very good size. I do find it a bit plane up close, but does get more appealing further away. I do like the tan, grey, white, and blue tones very easy on the eye. The set does have a lot of gold accents making the tops of the towers. You will also find a lot of white accents making areas around trim and windows more appealing. The set is open back, so I do regard it as a play set for that reason. The set has easter eggs to Aladdin, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, Snow White, Princess and the Frog, and so much more. It does come with 7 minifigs, two of which are just silver Knights in the back of the set. The other five are exclusive to the set with the exception of Donald Duck. These are Mick Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, and Tinkerbell. Overall I really like this set. But this set was built for the channel investor and is on display for the while family to enjoy, We did sadly overpay for this set, and to make maters worse, we were missing one of the smaller stage twelve bags. Missing this bag was a huge hit and caused a lot of chaos and now I have to make a parts order for these parts. If you like videos like this please, Like, Share, and Subscribe!
