The Lego Hogwarts Icons Collectors Edition! (Another Beautiful Harry Potter Collectors Edition Set!)
In todays video we build and review the Lego Harry Potter Hogwarts Icons Collectors Edition set #76391, with 3,010 pieces. I start this video with a brief discussion of the set and how overall I am unsure of this set. The reason is this set has so much going on and feature so many aspects of Harry Potter. We then go into the unboxing and find a single book, a small sticker sheet, and 22 numbered building bags. In the review we start off with the scarf, the scarf did give extra colored pieces for all houses in Hogwarts; Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. In our case we went with Gryffindor. This set does come with 20th anniversary gold colored minifigs on a special golden stand. Dumbledore is resembled in a Chocolate Frog box on this stand. This stand does have special extensions to add another half dozen or so anniversary minifigs found in other sets. We do get a nice representation of a Chocolate Frog in this set as well. This set does come with some new pieces, the most notable are the ones that make up Harry’s glasses. These glasses are amazing and can fit on your face. Along with the glasses we also have a nice wand too. The wand can be attached to the set or removed, depending on what you decide. I do believe the top two books are insignificant, but the bottom is a diary from Tom Riddle (aka Voldemort). The books are nicely detailed, the bottom is the best using a unique building technique to resemble the book pages. We do have a nice basket with the initials H.G. (I believe this stands for Hermione Granger), and in the basket we have an important mix of potions. These potions and their bottles do feature some new parts, and are extremely cool and well detailed themselves. Finally, the owl, Hedwig looks incredible as he possible could in this set. I was most intimated by creating this bird from Lego but it was a rather simple and fun build. The mix of dark grey, black, and mostly white pieces do a great job detailing this owl. The owl has plenty of adjustment using socket joints, and the head is fully rotational. This is a build I recommend if you enjoy Harry Potter and the Lego line. But I do have to say, do not entirely rule out the idea of buying Hedwig set #75979 for $39.99, if you just want the owl itself. If you like videos like this please Like, Share, and Subscribe!
