The Slash Canceling Glitch in Ninja Gaiden (NES) - A Wild Glitch Appears!
In Ninja Gaiden for the NES, Ryu can normally only slash twice or MAYBE three times in a single standing jump. However, by exploiting a technique called Slash Canceling, players can easily slash three or four times in a single jump. If you're really good, you can attack five or more times in one jump.
The technique is simple. All you need to do is repeatedly tap Down and B at the same time while Ryu is in the air. Instead of slashing his sword like normal, Ryu's slash animation will be interrupted by his ninja flipping motion, meaning you can immediately slash again without having to wait for his sword slashing animation to finish.
So by using this Slash Canceling glitch (or exploit) you can attack many times in midair. I'm not particularly great at it, but I could easily attack three to four times in a single jump. Speedrunners use this trick to attack around five or six times in a single jump, which makes certain boss fights go a lot faster.
