The "Wake of Destruction" exploit in Super Bomberman (SNES) - A Wild Glitch Appears! #shorts
In Super Bomberman for the SNES, every time you spawn or respawn in a 1-player level, the game grants you a solid ten seconds of invincibility. During this period, you are invulnerable to damage, and therefore you can stand in the explosions of your own bombs.
So, exploiting this period of invulnerability is super easy. All you need to do is constantly mash the A button to drop bombs. If you're standing in the explosion of a previous bomb while you hit the A button to drop a new bomb, the new bomb will immediately explode. Then, you can continually mash the A button to drop more bombs while you walk, and you will leave a trail of explosions and destruction in your path.
Exploiting this invincibility will allow you to get a huge head start on any level, especially bosses, since you can enact a constant barrage of explosions anywhere you walk, damaging blocks, enemies, and bosses without regard for your own safety, and without having to wait for your bombs to detonate like normal. Just make sure to stop mashing the A button before your invincibility runs out.
