Time Transit VR | Review | An epic VR adventure through time
84Time Transit VR is an amazing game that recently released and certainly deserves more attention, its a 5 hour single player campaign that starts off as a tour through time exploring wildlife but expands to a full on adventure that will have you escaping from a dinosaur trying to eat you, solving puzzles, and canoeing through lava. The game features a large variety of environments from lush green prehistoric jungles to dark and damp caves and many more. The games visuals are breath taking and beautiful and there are many moments I found myself lost and captivated by the sights. The game does an amazing job at making you feel immersed in the sheer scale of the world, while a linear start and end point exists throughout the game, it gives you multiple paths to take and explore and that really makes the game feel a lot larger than it is. The polish was great and I encountered no bugs from start to finish on my play through. With all the said there are a few cons, currently its teleport only for movement but the developers have said they are making free locomotion a priority in a future update, If you dont like climbing this isnt for you, theres a lot of climbing to get around but luckily it was well implemented so it feels great, and lastly the game on ultra settings can be pretty demanding, I was experiencing a few frame drops whenever entering a new environment but they have add many options to tone the visuals down which im sure will help if your experiencing lag. Overall I loved my time with Time Transit VR and Freetime Studio did an excellent job at making one of the more fully featured single player VR games i have played in a good while. They implemented really neat and cool mechanics and a nice light narrative throughout your exploration of this beautiful world. to put it into perspective I was expecting a neat tour through time that would teach me about dinosaurs and other wildlife, what I got was a game that had my dangling from a vine with a dinosaur trying to jump up and eat me with a full on adventure ahead.
