Titanfall Beta - Last Hurrah on Fracture - PC
The game felt really close to the finished thing. It has its share of hiccups, but it's a pretty solid experience most of the time. Hopefully, the devs will take the kinks of the beta into account to improve the game's official launch. The biggest issues I've noticed were poor team balancing and buggy audio (not sure if it's server-related -- or a local issue -- but sometimes the audio crackles and will usually linger until the match ends).
Bug or no bug, I miss playing the game already. It's really awesome seeing your Titan drop from the sky and then ride it to shoot, dash, and punch enemy Titans, or rip hostile pilots from their cockpits (the most satisfying kill next to twisting a pilot's head). It's a guaranteed first-day buy, and I think I can also speak on behalf of the beta testers.
See you again in March, pilots. For now, here's a look back at the fun game.
