SSF4AE Ver. 2012 - Doppelganger Bug - PC
I'm not sure if I'm the first one to have found this, but it's a pretty awesome bug. Not sure if it's isolated to the PC version, either. Anyway, I'm quite comfortable playing the game with an Xbox 360 controller, so that's what I use. I also have a PS3 controller, which I either emulate as a 360 controller or map the KB+M controls to. That one I use for almost every other game I play. I only usually play Arcade mode since I have terrible lag at online matches.
When I stumbled on this, both my PS3 (emulating the 360) and Xbox 360 were connected at the same time. As I was playing Arcade and lost to a fight, I accidentally pressed Start on the PS3 controller during the countdown. At the character selection screen, it showed the controller as 2P and there was nothing else. After choosing the same character (Viper, in this example), I pressed Start on the 360 controller and a "challenger" entered. I chose Viper again for the 1P side and a doppelganger was born. Both characters were controlled by the same gamepad (the 360 controller) and mirrored each other's moves somewhat.
I don't know if this only happened because the other controller is merely emulating the 360. I'll also check if the same bug can be seen on consoles and report back.
*This game was run on the Lenovo IdeaPad Y410p.
