Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon® Breakpoint: The Tempest
Briefing:
The MSS, NATO's newly-developed military space station, has been hijacked. Apparently the security system was breached and a squadron of space soldiers burst in and took over. A few astronauts and space marines lost their lives, while the remaining alive are being held as hostages. The invaders haven't made any demands yet, but the DIA, with the help of the CIA and NSA, are convinced this is not a state-sponsored operation but privately supported and financed. They just didn't know who, until a few minutes ago when our Intel department made a shocking discovery.
While you were storming the Darkwood Island Port, Intel picked up chatter regarding many QRF to stand down and relocate to the Skell Campus Foundation, just a kilometre north of your position. Satellite imagery confirmed a large Sentinel presence with ground and air drones in the area, as well as an unusual Skell activity in the area. One of our tech engineers was courageous enough to infiltrate the Campus, looking like any other recruit, and log into the secure network through a back door. What we discovered was that someone within the Campus was able to break into the MSS' security system and take control of it, thus allowing the space soldiers to storm in. This doesn't confirm who the soldiers were, but we can confirm without a doubt, Sentinel's involvement in this operation.
With the DoD, NASA and other intelligence agencies involved, we were able to secure a plan that would involve retaking the station and possibly saving the hostages as well. On our end, Ghosts, you will assault the Campus, take out the large security force and shutdown the computer that initially breached MSS' security programme. You will then radio it to Command, who will relay it to the DoD who in turn will give the green light for the orbital assault.
Many are counting on us on this one Ghosts, so don't let us down. Godspeed to us all!
