1Having made it aboard Maria Narcissa as it moves 90 miles off the coast of Panama, Sam proceeds to navigate the ship in search for Hugo Lacerda with the orders to eliminate him in order to ensure that whatever information him and his group learned about Masse Kernels by torturing Morgenholt in Peru do not disseminate further, and also find out who hired People's Voice to kidnap Morgenholt after search of the ship's manifest confirms that it transports illicit cargo for an non-existent man named Nikariakov, with this, combined with further shipments of unusually modern firearms used by People's Voice members only further confirming that the group is working with someone well-connected. Eventually, Sam makes it to the upper decks and interrogates the ship's captain, discovering that Lacerda and his personal bodyguards unconnected to People's Voice have holed up in his quarters. Heading there, Sam grabs Lacerda as he briefly separates from his bodyguards to grab a drink and upon interrogating him, is directly told that him and his men were hired to kidnap Morgenholt by someone whose identity they never discovered as Lacerda himself was persuaded not to investigate who his contractor is.
