Black Ops 3 is the best Zombies experience to date. Here’s five things it did right.

#5: Black Ops 3 has the best lineup of original maps. They all have a consistent feeling running through them, yet have enough varied experiences to make them their own individual thing.

#4: Black Ops 3 increased the amount of depth in each map. It introduced things like specialist weapons, various side quests to upgrade already existing features, and much more.

#3: Speaking of depth, Black Ops 3 increased depth without taking away anything from the casual experience. Every map has a simple process for turning on the power and accessing Pack-a-Punch, and most maps have a simple process to obtain a wonder weapon with the Ray Gun acting as a backup for those with a more complex wonder weapon quest.

#2: Black Ops 3 was the first game since World at War to fully embrace custom maps for PC players. This gave the game a theoretically infinite amount of content without Treyarch having to do anything.

#1: Zombies Chronicles completely changed how people see Black Ops 3. Eight classic maps were faithfully remastered and packaged into one DLC for the price of two new maps. It’s the best selling DLC in Call of Duty history and makes Black Ops 3 the most content rich Zombies game to this day almost seven years later.
