IX is the best map to launch with Black Ops 4. Here’s five things it did right.
#5: The audience rewards are a great little feature. If you play well you’ll be rewarded with free power ups in the spawn room.
#4: The trials are another great little feature. It gives you small objectives to complete in the early game and can reward you with powerful items in the late game as well.
#3: IX has a unique Pack-a-Punch quest. It works with the map’s theme, introduces you to the mini-bosses on the map, and is the first to structure Pack-a-Punch directly around combat alone.
#2: IX has a refreshingly simple design. There’s no power switch, Pack-a-Punch is simple and fun to obtain, the wonder weapon is available out of the Mystery Box, and there’s no need to pick up any parts around the map.
#1: IX has an incredible theme. Zombies is a Roman gladiator arena with spectators cheering you on is beyond unique. It’s impossible to not be entertained.
