Tag der Toten is the final map in the Aether storyline. Here’s five things it did wrong.

#5: The facilities part of the map was an unnecessary addition. While it was cool to be able to go to an area I initially thought would just be part of the background, it doesn’t add much to the map that couldn’t be part of the regular map.

#4: Golden Pack-a-Punch is a great idea, but the fact that you can’t access it all the time is a massive problem. The randomized spawn takes what could be a powerful feature and reduces it to a stroke of luck when you get to use it.

#3: This is the grand finale of the storyline, yet Treyarch decided to revive the least popular crew they had ever assembled in that universe to finish it.

#2: Speaking of the storyline, the ending was bizarre. Our heroes not only take a back seat to the Victis crew doing all the work in the last map, but don’t go out like heroes all to save two children that the audience still doesn’t have a reason to care about.

#1: Not unlike Alpha Omega, Tag der Toten is uninspired. The wonder weapons, bosses, and the map concept as a whole are all recycled again. You’ve seen it all before.
