Zombies Chronicles was the perfect end to BO3 Zombies. Here’s five things it did right.

#5: Since its release Chronicles has been bundled with the base game on all digital platforms. Now anyone buying the game for the first time has a lot more options for Zombies than just Shadows of Evil.

#4: Chronicles allows these old maps to take advantage of Black Ops 3’s mechanics, which opens up a lot more options for the player. No more frustrating two-hit downs on early rounds, and sliding opens up another layer of depth to the movement of these old maps.

#3: Chronicles is priced really well. Considering a single, standalone DLC only gave you one Zombies map for $15, getting eight for $30 is a steal. It’s the best value for money in the series.

#2: Chronicles added in a handful of small Easter Eggs and references to the community for fan service. It was a nice nod to the community that didn’t alter the gameplay in a negative way.

#1: Speaking of Easter Eggs, the Moon Easter Egg, which could only be completed in Co-Op originally, was altered to be completable solo for Chronicles. This gave solo players a way to experience content they would never be able to access otherwise, though it’s unfortunate Ascension and Shangri-la couldn’t follow suit without reworking everything.
