This is Tower Princess: I've come for YOU! with the X3DAudio HRTF wrapper (IRC_1037 tables). It's an upcoming roguelite 3D platformer on the Unreal Engine 4 with light hack-and-slash elements and monster girls (not sure how I feel on this one). It's not really fair to judge Tower Princess because what's available is essentially just a tutorial, but the cel-shaded graphics and fluid animations are gorgeous. The controls are also pretty tight. What I DON'T like, however, is the music. It's really irritating like muzak from a stock library.
In terms of binaural audio, Tower Princess is just alright. It's another example of a game where the listener position is far behind the camera so sounds behind you are much louder than sounds in front of you. Like many other UE4 games I've covered, the audio mixing is rather poor with quiet sounds and huge spikes in volume like Zombie Princess' attack against the slime cubes in the boss arena. I kept the music on at 10% because there's too little audio in this pre-pre-alpha build.
I'd be lying if I said I recorded Tower Princess for any other reason than to get more games made within this decade on this channel. At the very least, I wish AweKteaM good luck on their Kickstarter campaign. It has reached half its goal and has 19 days left as of this writing.
