Description:
The king of Ildria was overthrown in a coup and was replaced by Ry'jin, a madman who covets the power of dragons. To that end, he kidnapped and killed all but one dragon to power his Vulcan Cannon, which he uses to rule Ildria with an iron fist. As the last free dragon, Az'uar must obtain the Soul Gems of the Great Seven, granting him the power he needs to make a stand against Ry'jin so he can free his siblings and save Ildria.

0:00 Az'uar Hatches
Az'uar starts with nothing but his mother's Soul Gem, giving him knowledge of her last words. Unfortunately, all of his siblings' eggs were taken by the empire for military research, so he'll have to save them by himself. Az'uar steps out of the cave, but is too young to fly and falls into the pond. Keep catching fish until the story progresses.
4:00 Jardan the Blacksmith
Az'uar is greeted by Jardan, a blacksmith who sympathizes with dragons. Despite the rough first impression, the two agree to travel together, though Jardan is a noncombatant. Before leaving the first map, look for the Dragon Shard in the area. You'll have to go through a few forest maps until you reach Jardan's hut, but I recommend that you hold off on entering until you master the Light Heal skill.
Inside the hut, Jardan will give you some starting gear, which will hopefully make it easier to deal with random mobs.
14:54 Bandit Attack
Later that night, Jardan is killed by a bandit, who seeks the bounty placed on those who opposed Ry'jin during the war. Az'uar has to fight the bandit one-on-one, which could be difficult to win without healing skills. Hopefully, you made sure to learn Light Heal.
18:47 Continuing Alone
There's a Dragon Shard hidden in the map with the save point, but you have to find a hidden path behind the trees. Continue making your way to Draslin, and don't bother using inhale yet, since you have no way to prevent enemies from interrupting your inhale skills.
22:55 Draslin
When Az'uar enters, some townspeople are excited to see him, but others don't want him around, since the empire will persecute them for associating with him. Go to the inn to save and get Dragon Shard prizes, and talk to Xandra near the library. You'll be introduced to the Underground, and the leader Faen wants you to acquire the other six soul gems. Xandra doubts Az'uar's loyalty, since the Great Seven abandoned humanity and sealed themselves away during the war, but Faen tells her that she should put aside her grudge and cooperate with Az'uar for this chance to strike back at the empire.
Be sure to get equipment upgrades for everyone, especially Xandra who needs brush upgrades to more easily convert enemies into Runes.
There's a Dragon Shard near the town entrance, so get that before you leave.
47:33 Additional Fishing
Every time you catch a fish at the starting pond, you have a chance of getting a Rune, which can be good if you're having trouble with Xandra's Rune conversion. Be sure to get the Lost Pendant and a Dragon Shard from fishing. The Lost Pendant is a quest item for one of the town NPCs, who gives you an item to boost your chances of getting Runes from fishing.
While fighting, be sure to get your breath interrupted at least once while Xandra is in the party. This will cause her to learn the Catch Breath skill, which temporarily protects Az'uar from getting interrupted, though some skills like Lung Crush will still interrupt him.
54:00 Evolution and Rune Stacking
Once Az'uar consumes 25 Runes, he'll transform into a dragon of the same type as his most inhaled Rune. I picked Water because it gives me a single-target water spell, which complements how most water breath skills are healing only. Unfortunately, the next threshold is much higher, requiring 75 additional Runes to evolve.
