Train Simulator 2019: The Foxfield Railway
As evidenced by the title, this video is a run on the Foxfield Railway. This is a 2.25 mile long heritage line in Staffordshire, near a railway station called Blythe Bridge. Despite this, the Foxfield line is not physically connected to any other railway. The Train Simulator version of the Foxfield Railway is available on Steam Workshop.
Because this line has a primary industrial locomotive collection in real life, I decided to use the Hunslet Austerity in this video. The specific engine I chose is one of the liveries from the Memories of Maerdy pack - a green engine named Sapper. We take the engine from Caverswall Road to the terminus at the top of the hill, with the train consisting of two Mk1 coaches and two Brakevans. Also seen in the yard at Caverswall Road is LMS Jinty No. 47406
Once we get to Dilhorne Halt, I decided to run the locomotive around the train. This didn't go so well, as you will find out if you watch the video for long enough.
After all that drama, we manage to get the train back down the hill to Caverswall Road. Upon arrival at the station, I finish the video by giving a series of long blasts on the Austerity's whistle.
