These TTX Tech brand controllers are very close resembling "knock offs" of the original Super Famicom (and Super NES) controllers that can be found online for about $10.

Considering the price and the fact that these are 3rd party knock offs, my expectations were very low. I mainly wanted to get one just to go with the aesthetics of my Japanese Super Famicom. But having played with it for a few minutes I would say they aren't THAT bad! No, they aren't as good as the REAL controllers they mimic but they are by no means the worse "clone" controllers I've felt.

The face buttons are responsive and not too stiff like some other cheap clone controllers. I would say the face buttons feel almost identical to the real thing if not for the fact they stick out a hair higher. The shoulder buttons are just a tad stiffer than the real controllers but they do feel very similar otherwise. They do feel like they might work themselves in and loosen up and I have to consider I'm comparing them to a used controller. Overall the buttons feel good, very close to the original. The biggest difference I could notice right away was the D-Pad itself but don't let this scare you too much. The D-Pad is a tad stiffer but also feels just a little "clunkier" but it showed no issues with response and accuracy to diagonals. It may not feel as good as the real Nintendo D-Pad but it still feels better than many other clone controllers out there.

These will do the job if you simply can't find real SNES controllers on the used market. But if you can find official Nintendo controllers in used, but good condition for a similar price I would still recommend the originals.

*I mentioned in the video there seem to be several "versions" or revisions of these TTX Tech controllers and you have to make sure you're getting the newest model. This version is smooth above the start and select buttons with no stamping or logos. The older versions have a stamped oval were the "Nintendo" logo would have been stamped into the later versions of the real official SNES controllers. The older versions with the stamped oval do indeed feel cheaper with an even more stiff and clunky feeling D-Pad. There is different packaging also but I don't think the package automatically means you're getting one version or the other. So if you can look in the box and see the controller in person make sure it has no stamped oval and don't assume that because the box looks the same as mine that it has the same controller inside.
