An early F-1 racing game by Sega. The scaling effects aren't bad for the time. While the graphics aren't quite as good as the 16-bit Z8002 powered Pole Position, you are treated to a variety of scenes instead of a 4 lap race. Turbo's track designs are simple- your goal is avoiding and passing the other cars, rather than negotiating sharp hairpin turns and chicanes. If you can keep ahead of enough opponents, you play the next round. You have unlimited lives in the first round, but during extended play, crashing costs one life.
