Description:
Adol and Dogi arrive in the city/kingdom of Altago, only to be unfairly arrested by a corrupt knight. Fortunately, King Kiermarl bails them out and asks them to explore the nearby ruins and investigate the legends of the island of Altago landmass.
This game is the first to feature the party system and Flash Guard mechanics, but also ditches platforming mechanics. The skill system is based not on elemental magic, but on weapon-based techniques that consume SP, which can only be gained by using normal attacks and Flash Guard. Basically, it's a completely different beast from the Napishtim games.

In the town outskirts, you should spend some time grinding to get the next tier weapons and armor. Unlike me, you should spend some more time figuring out a good controller setup so you can take on the boss.

I didn't do a good job during this fight because I was still getting used to the controls. Despite that, I still managed to win on my first try, albeit with only Dogi surviving. I guess he's the chosen one now!
The boss will eventually hide in its shell, only for Adol to learn his Extra Skill, which can somehow pierce the shell. Fortunately, Adol automatically revives for this demonstration.
