Description:
Adol and Dogi arrive in the city/kingdom of Altago, only to be unfairly arrested by a corrupt knight. Fortunately, King Kiermarl bails them out and asks them to explore the nearby ruins and investigate the legends of the island of Altago landmass.
This game is the first to feature the party system and Flash Guard mechanics, but also ditches platforming mechanics. The skill system is based not on elemental magic, but on weapon-based techniques that consume SP, which can only be gained by using normal attacks and Flash Guard. Basically, it's a completely different beast from the Napishtim games.

The Ancient Tree dungeon features a lot of enemies who are weak to slash, which is fortunate because Adol and Elk are both slash types.

Sadly, I can really use the flash guard + extra skill trick against this boss, since it can only be directly damaged after being stunned or immobilized. Strangely, Elk can deal yellow damage to the boss, so I should have used his extra skill instead.
