Tyrian 2000 - Engage Mode - Part 51 (Station)
The Hazudra Collectors are few. They may have proven to be formidable in their own right (discovering the plans of the Order of Zinglon and essentially capturing Trent), but they stand no chance against the Zinglonites. This is where Trent comes in. And really now, who else could help them, but the ace pilot with a talent for winning wars by himself? And who actually knew a Hazudra?
Despite the Zinglonites unleashing nightmares against Trent on Camanis, they were defeated. The planet can now see through the Order of Zinglon's treachery. Soon, the entire sector will. Trent is bemused at the idea of witnessing the fall of the Church of Zinglon, not because he wishes to witness chaos, but because he himself felt betrayed by the people; just as they will soon feel betrayed by this false religion.
How fitting that the final battle take place in Station Gryphon. While officially no longer owned by Microsol, those who took over were in fact Zinglonites, who masterfully tricked the sector into believing the Station was no longer operational while in fact it continued to research weapons. What weapons could the Zinglonites possibly have prepared in an attempt to conquer the sector? The same sector which has obtained all of Microsol's technology, and used it to improve its defenses so that something like the previous war never happens again, especially with Trent having supposedly vanished? Trent intends to find out. Encouraged by the Hazudra, he assaults Station Gryphon once more.
Unlike his past visit to the Station, this time, Trent will face the full might of the militaristic station... and what appears to be a rebuilt, and improved, Illuminator, the Microsol mothership from the war. The battle will be horrific. Except this time, Trent has the ship and the spirit to fight it.

Penultimate level, and its difficulty is legendary. It is arguably the hardest level in the game, although I leave that title to Botany B.
"Station" is similar to Gryphon, except it is actually hard. Zinglonite ships and defense systems will make your life a living hell. Remember, however : You've already faced, and triumphed, against every ship this level sends at you, except for part of the boss.
The green ships that have been your nightmare are back. Dodge, and don't forget Invulnerability. Even with my weapons, which are the literal maximum you can get on Engage Mode, I could barely destroy a few of the Green Ships. Better to avoid them unless you're maxed out as well.
More Green Ships will soon follow. Hopefully you've Repaired your whole Armour level.
They will now move horizontally, on the bottom of the screen. Ouch. Now you really can't do anything about it.
To further complicate matters, the Magnetic Claw that you've seen on the Fleet level is back to fight you! Its magnetic powers disrupt your movement, all while throwing electricity blasts. Turn Invulnerable pronto, and ram the center of the Claw, its only vulnerable spot. If you can't destroy it by the time you become vulnerable again, you'll need to use your Special Weapon, the Firebomb, or actually turn Invulnerable again (very unlikely). Or live with it until the Green Ships are gone.
Your Special Weapon is important here. The Ice Beam could freeze Green Ships. The Repulsor could make dodging easier. The SDF Main Gun can nuke all.
Finally, the boss is the Fleet boos, reduxed in something it SHOULD've been. I destroyed it too fast, but the "guns" that descend on the right and the left are actually there to generate a horizontal electric field, to block you from moving too high. The boss also shoots its cannons much faster, but only straight ahead. Thus you'll be quite restricted in your movement. But then it still doesn't actually directly attack you much.
Good luck. You're almost done.
Difficulty : 10/10
Number of attempts : 4
My first 3 tries were actually on a higher detail level, causing random lag here and there. I got annoyed and lowered the detail, losing the lag, and won the level. Still, random factors played in my favor. Remember it took me 69 tries to get Botany B, which I've classed as 11/10 difficulty. Now that it took me 4 to get something classed at 10/10, you can see I got lucky.
