UltraWings 2 Does Work With The Yaw VR And Meta Quest 2 Natively!
Recently I posted a review of BitPlanet Games latest release Ultrawings 2 and during that video I made mention and went so far as to slightly beg the devs to add Native Yaw Vr motion sim support to the game on the Quest 2. Well Shortly after posting that I got a a comment that there indeed was Yaw Vr support in the game but it was hidden.
After a quick trip to the Yaw Vr Discord where i posted the question of how to enable this I got a quick response from paul1952 alerting me to the fact that all I had to do was start the game in my Quest 2 and then pull up the Yaw VR phone companion app and just hit start! it was that easy!!!
Now, this isn't perfect and it makes me wonder if the devs might still be working on proper support but just haven't released it yet. There is no motion compensation so that means the Yaw Vr is limited to not having the ability to spin on the yaw axis. This really doesn't matter all that much because even having the slightest amount of motion paired with good VR tricks my brain into feeling it much more intensely! I'm looking forward to the PC release and seeing if I can get it fully working with the simulator but until then this will do.
Overall, this was a good experience and I have to say it was refreshing to see another title with native support in the Quest 2... not having to use a PC is awesome and even though is more limited the freedom from all the wires makes it totally worth it!
